Congratulations guys, looks like all that whining has finally worked in your favor. And what amazes me is the fact that the changes wont be made to your cars until Tuesday, but boy oh boy, look at how well the old packaging did for Monday's practicing speeds! 4 our of 5 top spots? Its almost as if there wasn't a problem to begin with!

I've said here and there that NASCAR should have stuck somebody inside one of those Ford's to test it before making a decision to give them the concessions to begin with. In this day and age, taking somebody's word for "it" just shouldn't be enough. You don't just look at results without testing them. Common sense, boys.

I'm also quite disappointed with the Ford drivers. They knew damn well they could drive faster than that, but chose to compromise their integrity because their bosses told them to. I'd like to ask Jeff Burton how proud of himself he is if he wins the 500. I've always had so much respect for all the drivers, even the ones I don't like, for being true heroes and fighting with fists instead of guns. They've lost a bit of respect from me.

I wondered if I was the only one who was feeling this way, so I asked a few people for their honest opinions. Heheheh.

Lady Racer mentioned, "if NASCAR doesn't take what they gave the Fords away from them, then Ford should clean up nicely at Daytona." Melissa said, "I think the Fords got away with something and the help NASCAR gave them should be taken away."

Some have also discredited Ford's actions. "Those who did work hard all winter to make their cars fast should not be punished because the slower cars, who did not do their homework, are asking for help. What NASCAR did was punish the other car makes when they gave special help to Ford.

Now, what really irks me about all of this is how blatant the cheating (and yes, I consider it cheating) was. I mean, the new package doesn't even go on the car's until Tuesday, and while the Ford cars have been consistently on the low end of the totem pole, Monday's practice all of a sudden shoots them way back up to the top. If this isn't obvious to NASCAR, they should really get their eyes and heads checked.

"Ok, look at the last 4 plate races and notice that the make of the car that finished in the top 10 the most were all Fords, the average being about 4 in the top 10, and 6 within the top 15. Plus, final standings showed us 4 Ford's in the top 10. Monday's practice speeds are good evidence though because the change doesn't take place until Tuesday.

Everyone's good friend Willis said, "well, it sure seems like the Ford teams have been holding back…we finally got to see what they can run." Here's an idea, lets put JR in Dale Jarrett's car for 15 laps and see what kind of times he can run. I bet it would be fast!

Now, once Tuesday rolled around with the new packaging, Ford only took 3 of the top 5 positions, but at the same time, dominated the top 10, holding onto 6 positions. Lenny had this to say.

"The Fords have sandbagged, and they did so in a way that NASCAR was blind to… Dale Jarrett claims that the Ford's did no sandbagging," noting Dale Jarrett's words, "why would we throw away the Bud Shootout?" Lenny's answer? "why not, the real big fish in the ocean is the Daytona 500. I would throw away a $200,000 fish if I knew that it might help me catch a $1,000,000 fish, wouldn't you?"

All in all, lets hope that when the 125's come around on Thursday, that NASCAR will take their heads from their…, well, let's just say that NASCAR needs to pay a little more attention to this and make the changes accordingly.
